For years, the conspiracy theorists whispered about the possibility that the government was behind terrorist attacks. But when dirty bombs explode at universities across the nation, there's no longer anything to wonder about: the country is controlled by a lunatic. And the beings who are poisoned by the bombs don’t become your typical everyday zombies. No. They are transformed into powerful, supernatural, government-controlled killing machines.
The Point of Survival is the story of 19-year-old Sydney Trainor, an introverted coed with a secret handicap – she suffers from debilitating panic disorder. After the country's corrupt President commits this violent blitzkrieg, Syd and her fellow trapped coeds go on a mission to rescue her boyfriend in this near-future dystopian thriller.
The dirty bombs contain a bio-agent which renders its victims into a catatonic-like state. Once they are captured, they are micro-chipped and transformed into fighting machines. Rather than sit in hiding, Syd chooses to contend with The Recruits and in the process, discovers she is a brave leader who doesn't need to depend on anyone for safety or happiness.
